We will be working on the names of letters G-O-U-L-F-B and their sounds.
We will be constructing short words and reading them using these letters and previous letters and sounds that we have learned.

Please practice the sounds and the names of the letters with your children at home.
When reading to your child, exaggerate the sounds at the beginning of the word while showing them what letter it is as you are reading.

We are using many materials to explore patterning.
We are exploring patterns by using colour, shapes, objects, and different sizes.
We will start by using a 2-step pattern and working our way up to 3-step and 4-step.
We will aslo be using rhythm and actions to explore patterning.

Please practice patterning during your day with your child;
this can be done with food while eating, as you are driving/walking, with socks etc.
