Recently students participated in Community Day and learned all about different professionals, such as lawyers, doctors, veterinarians, police officers, etc! Writing: Can write the seventh group of sounds: qu, ou, oi, ue, er, ar. can also write regular words using these sounds, such as: out, spoil, star, dark, later, quick, quit, count. May Trait: Compassion
This month's trait is 'Compassion', which means a mix of emotions that include love, sympathy and sorrow for another who is suffering or going through difficult time, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, “Allah shows compassion only to those among His slaves who are compassionate.” (Al-Bukhâri and Muslim)
What is Compassion?
·Putting yourself in someone else’s shoes ·Understanding, sensing, and sharing in the feelings and emotions of others ·Showing love, sympathy, empathy, and encouragement ·Identifying with, and understanding, another’s situation, feelings, and motives ·Having concern for someone experiencing misfortune ·Desire & effort to help alleviate and remove the suffering of a person Students will be discussing this trait, and they will also link it to the event of Israa' and Miraj where Alalh (swt) showed prophet Mohammed his ultimate compassion after a year full of sorrow and testing.

Hot Weather - Reminder for Parents:
Please remember to put your child’s suncream on before they come to school as staff do not have responsibility for this duty and we don’t keep a stock in school.
It would be advisable to provide your child with a sunhat so that they are able to stay out in the sun on the school playground and enjoy the recess without fear of burning.
A bottle of water will be essential – please label it with your child’s name so that there are no mix ups.
Jazakumullahu-khaira for your co-operation and support!
