We reviewed the letters ( أ – ش ), the name of harakat (fatah, kasra , and dama) and how to read the letters studied with them; this has been accomplished though a number of activities, such as songs, games, stories and competitions. The children have found these activities to be exciting and fun. Please ask your children about them and watch as they make the sounds and the actions.
Reading: Read the letter ص with short vowels (fatha, kasra and dama).
Writing: Practice writing the letterص in the arabic workbook and textbook at school. How to write the ص at the beginning- middle- and end of words.Reading in our classroom: We are learning how to be respectful for the parents and to other members of the family. I read the following stories to reinforce this theme.
Please ask your child what they learned from these stories.
Guided Reading: We learned how to read some new words such as: فيل - صغير - كبير - خفيف - ثقيل - مخيف - ظريف - كتب - كتاب - قصير - جميل - دخل - خرج - من - قوي - البيت - بنت - صغيرة - كثيرة - هيا - نلعب

Math:
We are still learning more about the measurement unit. The students had lots of fun with many hands on math activities by measuring different items in the classroom using different non-standard items such as (Popsicle sticks- straws- snap cupes- feet- leg-hand ....etc.) Please ask your child what they measured and how they did it.
We also learned how to use the scale in measurement.
Science:
The students are doing a wonderful job in their dioramas projects. MashaAllah they all finished their dioramas and next week we will start the presentations inshaAllah.
Islamic Studies:
We finished the second part of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) story. We also learned about the story of prophet Nuh. We will learn more about this story next week inshaAllah.
