SK1 Weekly Updates: (Oct.20- Oct.24)

As-salamu-alaikum wa Rahmatullah Dear Parents,I hope and pray that all of you are doing well. We had a wonderful week alhamdulilah!

Language Art/phonics:

We are still working in our first book of Jolly phonics. Alhamdullelah we covered the following letters: s,a,t, and i.

Please ask your children about them and watch as they make the sounds and the actions. This year we are putting a lot of emphasis on the proper writing method of the letters in lower-case and capital form. We are also discovering the sounds that these letters make as they appear in the start, middle, or end of different words.

Please check the link below for further practice at home:

These are the pillars of Islam,
Give to help the poor.

Fast, Fast, Fast all day,
Fast in Ramadan,
These are the pillars of Islam,
Fast in Ramadan.

When we make the hajj.

Make our pilgrimage.

We are reciting daily the dua'a for the month of October during circle time.

Abraar School is currently doing a Hijra Simulation. All students are walking and running laps around the gym to traverse the distance between Mecca and Madina. Each student and staff is contributing to the 7040 laps needed!
