parents,
Language Art:
Alhamdullelah,
we finished our third book of Jolly phonics. We covered the following
letters: g, o, u, l, f and b. We learned how to rhyme
words from the –at family. We also finished some worksheets about the –at
family.
We have
read several stories about manners and we are learning about story
sequencing. Students were asked to retell the story I read for them.
MahsaAllah, Sk1 students are doing a wonderful job.
We are
learning new sight words. MashaAllah, Sk1 are taking the second step
towards reading, and that is combining sounds that we learned to make 3
letter words. Way to go SK1!
Social Skills:
We are
working really hard on our social skills! we’re becoming exceptionally
good at sharing toys, smiling at each other, and apologizing to each
other if we hurt each other’s feelings. Please ask your child about these
manners that we are learning in our Sk1 class, talk about it and try to apply
the same concepts we are learning at the comfort of their home.

Islamic studies:
We are finished working in our
unit about Tawheed.
We learned about Allah the
creator with a beautiful craft. Please check our bulletin board! By now your
child should understand that Allah is one, and be able to distinguish Allah’s
creation from what man created through the materials that Allah has provided.
We read many stories related to
this unit.
Sk1 are having so much fun singing Allah the creator nasheed.
We are learning a new song:

He made us so perfectly.
