October Du`aa'
This month’s du’aa is chosen to correspond to our trait of the month “Coopeation”. Working with others requires certain qualities to help us accomplish goals while being able to get along with other people.

اللهم اجعلني قريباً هيناً ليناً سهلاً

Allāhumma-j`alnī Qareeban hayyinan layyinan sahlan

“O Allah make me accessible (near people), tender in nature, flexible in dealing with others, and easy going"

In correspondence to Hadith 642 of Book 1 in At-Tirmidhi

Mash'Allah SK1 memorized the dua'a. Way to go SK1 :)

In addition, the students learned what to say before going to sleep.

Math:
We are still working in the pattern unit. We did some worksheets about it. We also learned how to write the following numbers 1 to 5.

SK1 students learned to sing the islamic months of the year. Please ask your child about it!

Science & Art:
We integrated the lesson about the primary colours in science with Art. Sk1 students drew beautiful pictures using the primary colours.

Islamic Studies:
We are still learning about the 5 pillars of Islam. The kids finished colouring their booklets about this topic. In addition we learned two more names about Asmaa Allahe Alhusna.

Star Of The Week!

We’ve had some shining stars amongst us! Congratulations to the following students for being the most recent STARS OF THE WEEK:  Tasnim and Raihan

We hope to see many more stars brightening up our SK1 classroom. The stars of the week are chosen based on overall behavior throughout the week, homework completion, participation, and acts of kindness.
